Luan Xueyan (b. 1973, Dalian, Liaoning, China), moved to Shenyang with his parents at the age of 10. She earned a BA and MA in 1998 from the Department of Chinese Meticulous Figurative Painting at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China. In 2009, she graduated summa cum laude with a second MA in Visual Arts from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts (Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera) in Milan, Italy. She currently teaches at the School of Architecture of the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
